Manage all Sports Programming (Tennis, Pickleball, and Bocce) clinics, activities, events, exhibitions, tournaments, court reservations, instructional lessons, and teaching staff for Esplanade.
Required Skills/Abilities
• Demonstrate knowledge and excellence in sports programming by playing Tennis and/or Pickleball.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with Members in an appropriate tone and manner both verbally and written.
• Possess a high level of energy, initiative, enthusiasm, and cooperation, and exercise good judgment and discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
• Comfort with public speaking and ability to use critical thinking for problem-solving skills and conflict-resolution strategies.
• Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly.
• Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
• Proven ability to lead a team in a collegial environment.
• Ability to learn software (Mindbody/ Jonas), Google Forms, MailChimp, interactive calendar, registration processes, policies and procedures, equipment, material, products, etc.
Educational and Experience Requirements
• Professional certification from the USPTA and/or IPTPA or PPA.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• High School diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years experience and/or the equivalent in experience and training in a private, member-owned club/space.
Preferred Requirements:
• Previous experience as Head Teaching Professional for Tennis and/or Pickleball.
• Professional and/or collegiate playing experience.
• College Education - Bachelor's degree.
• A career path marked with stability and educational growth with USPTA.
Scheduling:
Ability to work some nights and/or weekends based on events scheduled.
