Job description

Overview

Part of the Product Marketing team for Mailchimp, the Technology Partnerships team is responsible for listening to the market, uncovering consumer insights, identifying opportunities that influence the product integrations roadmap, and developing audience relevant strategies and go-to-market plans that drive revenue growth and integration adoption.

We are seeking a seasoned Group Marketing Manager to manage the Technology Partnerships team. This leader will have a strong track record of succeeding in “player/coach” roles - bringing both strong strategic skills, seamless cross-functional partnership and executive-level influence, inspiring data-driven customer empathy and a bent for speed in action and results. You will lead a team of product marketers to build the short and long-term go-to-market strategy for Mailchimp’s Technology Partnerships which will meet and exceed our goals as well as influence the future product development roadmap. You’ll partner closely with the larger Technology Partner organization as well as Marketing, Analytics, Sales, and others. To be successful you will bring a mix of strategic vision, communication skills, collaborative mindset, and product launch experience - having worked in highly cross-functional, dynamic environments crafted to move with velocity.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of business experience in product and/or partnership marketing within SaaS/Technology companies.

  • Product Marketing Craft Expertise: Proven expertise in product marketing with a track record of building successful end-to-end partner marketing strategies. Small business experience is a plus.

  • Customer-Obsessed: Leads with customer insights, obsessively seeks new insights that result in action, and advocates internally and externally on behalf of our customers.

  • Strategic and Analytical: Experience with consumer research and data, including qualitative and quantitative testing. Ability to quickly analyze and synthesize data from a variety of sources and distill into clear, concise recommendations for an executive audience. Proven ability to leverage data to measure marketing performance, inform growth opportunities and business case development.

  • Compelling Storyteller: Excellent written and verbal communications, presentation and facilitation skills to drive speed, engagement, clarity, and action. Ability to make the complex simple and convince peers and executives to take action.

  • Intellectually Curious Risk-Taker: Understands the importance of trying and failing and encourages hypothesis-driven experimentation.

  • Collaborator & Influencer: Strong interpersonal and influencing skills in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment. Ability to interact with colleagues of all levels in a peer-like way.

  • Self-Starter: Demonstrated track record of self-motivation and willingness to proactively and independently take on leadership roles in projects, prioritize what matters, and manage multiple work streams simultaneously.

  • Versatile Do-er: Forward-thinking leader with the ability to problem solve with ambiguity, drive data-based decisions and own outcomes, and roll up their sleeves to execute.

  • People Leader: Proven people leader experience managing and developing a team of direct reports. Demonstrated success in recruiting, building and leading high-performing teams.

  • BA/BS required or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred.
