The Groundskeeper will perform landscaping tasks to assure the daily maintenance and cleanliness of the property. Reports to the on-site Service Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:(include but not limited to)
- Complies with company policies, procedures, safety protocols, Fair Housing and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Walks the property on a frequent, daily basis and remove litter, debris, and maintains dumpster areas and the dog stations.
- Conducts daily lawn care and landscaping duties as instructed.
- Transfers trash and other items left outside the dumpster into the dumpster.
- Contributes to the spirit of teamwork at both the property and company levels.
- Must be available on notice in the event of winter weather events, such as snow, ice, and other emergencies. Snow removal, salting, shoveling, and pretreating is mandatory.
- Assists in keeping the maintenance shop neat and organized daily.
- Informs Supervisor of any maintenance issues observed on the property.
- Assists with “make-ready” duties when requested by the supervisor.
- Completes snow removal tasks, including but not limited to, shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways as needed during winter months.
- Observes conditions of property throughout the community and immediately reports and/or initiates action to correct unsafe conditions.
- Attentive and cautious with regards to the overall security of the property, keeping all keys, in your possession, not to be handed unauthorized person, including contractors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.
- Excellent time management skills.
- May be required to work at various locations/properties within the company.
- Previous experience preferred.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.
- Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
- Must be able to lift fifty pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors
