SalaryGraphic Designer
The Graphic Designer will be in charge of developing visually compelling and impactful designs that represent the team’s brand identity across various mediums and activations. This key marketing team member will be responsible for managing the club’s creative brand strategies for all marketing pieces. The Graphic Designer’s work will contribute to enhancing fan engagement, marketing campaigns, merchandise, sponsorship programs and overall visual presence in the stadium and community.
We are looking for a talented, passionate and driven creative wizard who understands how visuals can deliver a message in a strategic manner and who can juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with sports/soccer industry and/or team experience is a must; needs to be comfortable working outside of traditional business hours for games and events.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and create visually stunning designs that align with Rhode Island FC's brand guidelines and overall marketing objectives.
- Develop a range of graphic assets, including but not limited to logos, signage, social media visuals, website elements, email templates, advertisements, promotional materials, sales and marketing presentations, and merchandise designs.
- Translate marketing strategies and concepts into visually appealing designs that effectively communicate key messages and evoke the team's brand essence.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality design output across various platforms, maintaining brand integrity and visual coherence.
- Stay updated with design trends, techniques, and industry best practices to continuously improve and innovate the team's visual identity. Identify fresh and emerging opportunities to promote Rhode Island FC.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, ticketing, social media, and merchandise, to ensure designs effectively support their initiatives and requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload, and stay within budget in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Work with external vendors and printers to ensure print production and quality standards are met for various marketing materials.
- Maintain an organized archive of design assets, including source files, so they can be easily accessed and utilized by the marketing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Graphic Designer in sports or entertainment.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills and versatility in creating visually impactful designs.
- Solid understanding of branding principles and the ability to apply them consistently across various mediums.
- Knowledge of current design trends, color theory, typography, and layout principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in design work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for soccer and a good understanding of sports culture and trends.
