Graphic Designer

The KONG Company is seeking a talented Graphic Designer with a focus on visual identity design, packaging, social media, and brand storytelling. The ideal candidate is creative, organized and collaborative, and has knowledge of-and passion for-the pet industry. Our in-house creative team is responsible for bringing KONG's brand identity to life across a wide range of deliverables in a global marketplace-including product packaging, catalogs, retail displays, social media, video graphics, sales materials, web design, tradeshow displays, and other marketing and communications materials.
Essential Duties

• Understand the brand and be able to translate our identity into visual representation
• Concept and develop new product naming and package design
• Design and execute multi-language packaging needs with international stakeholders
• Ability to lay out and coordinate brand collateral and reoccurring sales publications
• Prepare, package, and preflight files for release to printers or media partners
• Resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
• Photograph, retouch, and create product and lifestyle images for internal and external print and digital use, while helping to maintain the media asset library
• Digital asset creation for a variety of social media usage that is fun, playful, and within brand guidelines

• Maintain a positive attitude about the job and the company while living the company vision
• Collaborate with the creative and brand teams while delivering consistent on-brand executions
• Operate with a mentality for team and work betterment -?sharing ideas and proactively suggesting ways to improve existing materials and works-in-progress, while being receptive to direction

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
• 2-3 years working within a design firm or other creative team environment
• Conceptual thinker who possesses a wide range of design capabilities, including print, packaging, branding, typography, catalog production, retail graphics, digital/social media graphics, and email design
• Ability to ensure brand consistency while offering a fresh approach to design
• Ability to problem-solve and find multiple design solutions
• Effective time management to ensure projects meet deadlines while delivering a quality product
• Photography experience is helpful
• Must have experience in a Macintosh environment
• Must have strong skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, social media, and email layout
• Able to focus, with a keen attention to detail
• Open and receptive to design critique, and able to present work and provide rationale for design decisions
• Able to work quickly and efficiently

• From $55,000 annually
