FIRST POSTING OPEN TO ONEIDA ENROLLED TRIBAL MEMBERS ONLY POSITION SUMMARY Under direct supervision of the Senior Graphic Art Designer designs various print, collateral, electronic and web graphic materials. Ensures that services are provided effectively and efficiently to the Oneida Nation.
Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conceptualizes, designs, and produces a variety of jobs including books, brochures, invitations, flyers, manuals, calendars and collateral material using Creative Cloud, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and In Design.
2. Meet with the customer to identify their graphic needs, budget constraints and reasonable deadlines for the project; serves as a liaison between the customer and printer/publisher; proofs final job ensuring quality standards have been met. 3.
Assist in creating interactive computer interfaced presentations and slide shows using Novell Presentations and Power Point Graphics. 4. Prepare plates with the Echo III system for printing process.
5. Produce promotional signs utilizing plotter system and HP700 Vinyl Printer workstations. 6.
Maintain and upgrades all hardware and software for prepress; provides technical assistance for PC and Macintosh hardware, software, plotter and RIP station/network; performs routine maintenance as needed. 7. Maintain all digital files via network protocol.
8. Knowledge of department organization, functions, objectives, policies and procedures. 9.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations. 10. Adhere to all Tribal Personnel Policies and Procedures, Tribal Standard Operating Procedures, and Area and Program Strategic Plans and Policies.
11. Maintain strict department security, confidentiality, and quality to meet professional standards of the department. 12.

Frequently sit and walk. 2. Occasionally stand; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to twenty (25) pounds.
Work is generally performed in a print shop environment. 3. Employee may be exposed to various fumes, chemical substances and loud noises.
4. A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment. STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Knowledge of the Apple Macintosh Desktop Publishing System including typesetting, scanning, and printing. 2. Knowledge of Quark XPress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
3. Ability to work extended hours. 4.
Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines. 5. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing.
6. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds. 7.
Must adhere to strict confidentiality in all matters. (Must sign a confidentiality statement prior to employment.) 8. Must be willing and able to obtain additional education and training.
9. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must adhere to the Nation's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during the course of employment.
10. Must pass a background security check with the Oneida Nation in order to meet the Employment Eligibility Requirements, Tribal/State Compact and/or Oneida Nation Gaming Ordinance as they pertain to the position. A temporary license or Gaming License issued by the Oneida Gaming Commission is required as a condition of employment and continuing employment within the Oneida Nation's Gaming Division.
11. A valid, non-probationary driver's license or occupational driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance are required. Must obtain a Wisconsin non-probationary driver's license or occupational driver's license within thirty (30) days of employment if applicant has an out-of-state driver's license.
Must be authorized as eligible to operate a personal and Tribal vehicle under the Oneida Nation's Vehicle Driver Certification and Fleet Management Policy prior to actual start date. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud. 3. Experience with Fiery Rip and Freeform.
