Role Summary 

MetaPhase supports FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate to help communities secure funding to prepare themselves against acts of terror and other catastrophic events. MetaPhase Consulting is seeking a Grants Compliance Specialist with 5+ years’ compliance experience to lead Grants Compliance reviews in support of our FEMA clients. Whether that is researching legislative, statutory, or policy requirements, analyzing programs against applicable standards, or developing corrective action plans to ensure future program alignment, the team member will serve as a valued and trusted partner to a quickly growing team. The successful candidate will have a foundational knowledge of the federal grants lifecycle and associated requirements and be comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

What You Will Be Doing  

• Research and document comprehensive standards against which grant programs will be assessed for compliance. 
• Review program documentation, activity, and outcomes against identified standards. 
• Advise clients on compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports. 
• Create effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations. 
• Assess program elements to determine ongoing compliance risk. 
• Develop training materials and compliance tools to ensure project and client team members are aware of and able to implement the latest regulations and processes. 

What We Need From You (Required)  

• A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a grants management, federal compliance, or federal audit. 
• Must have knowledge of 2 CFR 200 or similar authoritative sources  
• Strong knowledge of federal grant processes or federal regulations. 
• An analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. 
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills. 

Bonus Points (Desired) 

• 1+ years’ experience in federal consulting 

Work Location 

Remote - quarterly travel to DC area.

Education Level 

Bachelor’s degree 

Clearance Level 

Successful adjudication of FEMA suitability.
