Accounting & Compliance Specialist

This role will support strategic planning, cost analysis, and contract management for our federal client’s accounting and compliance efforts. This shall involve, but is not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting reconciliation, financial reporting, programming, and budget execution using commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) accounting system (CFO Compliant)
• Perform analysis of customer’s financial systems and report corrective actions directly to the customer for commercial and government systems
• Design automated financial management tools to assist senior decision-makers in their allocation of financial resources
• Review and establish financial plan, business, and workflow processes
• Ensure O&M close-out and End-of-Year reports required, are compiled, and reported by due dates
• Coordinate and direct project activities, requirements, and deliverables 

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience in systems design, development, and CFO Compliance
• Experience working with USAF and DoD automated budgetary systems
• Experience in accounting reconciliations, financial reporting, programming, and budget execution using federal accounting systems
• Experience in performing analysis of customer’s financial systems and reporting corrective actions directly to the customer
• Experience creating Excel Pivot Tables with populated and specified legacy data extracted from POM database 

Preferred:

• Experience working with Federal Government and/or DoD Clients
• CPA, CISA, CDFM, or CGFM 

Education:

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field

Security Clearance:

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

There are some remote positions. Salary commensurate with experience. Travel and relocation expenses may be considered based on the appropriate candidate.
