Government Relations and Traffic Safety intern
RESPONSIBILITY.ORG is a national non-profit working to eliminate underage drinking, impaired driving and provide resources for learning responsible alcohol consumption to those of legal drinking age who choose to do so.
Internship Salary and Work Schedule:
RESPONSIBILITY.ORG interns are paid an intern wage of $17.00 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITY.ORG interns will work 16 - 29 hours per week for 4 -6 weeks between June - August 2023. This role is hybrid working both at the office in Washington, DC and working from home.
RESPONSIBILITY.ORG internships can be managed through your education institution's internship program/department if needed.
Summary of Role:
Responsibility.org is seeking a highly motivated and organized intern to assist our Government Relations and Traffic Safety teams. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on projects related to Government Relations, policy analysis, and Traffic Safety research.
Job Duties will include the following:
- Conduct research on state and federal policies related to impaired driving and underage consumption
- Assist with the development and execution of advocacy campaigns aimed at promoting responsible drinking and safe driving
- Analyze data and prepare reports on Traffic Safety trends and statistics for members
- Learn to monitor legislative and regulatory developments related to alcohol, cannabis and Traffic Safety
- Assist with event planning and logistics for conferences and meetings
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed
