As an Executive Director in Global Government Relations, you will lead and support project teams in developing and promoting strategies and solving complex problems. You will be a key member of the Global Government Relations’ Executive Team, reporting to the Chief of Operations and Strategy. You will leverage your experience, knowledge, and skills to effectively promote, coordinate, and communicate daily and long-term objectives to senior managers. You will be responsible for a variety of critical areas related to GR’s management, operations, and overall strategy. This role provides an opportunity to work on strategic planning and implementation of strategic objectives, organizational design, public affairs and advocacy planning, and cross-line of business initiatives within GGR and across the firm.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Drive significant cross-department Strategic Projects & functions on behalf of CO&S, with particular emphasis on U.S.-focused projects and advocacy planning;
- Define problems; structure and build quantitative and qualitative / conceptual analyses; and apply strong judgment to identify implications and practical, high-impact solutions;
- Provide project management to project teams, drive progress on an ongoing basis, ensure appropriate briefing for senior leaders and successful project completion;
- Prepare and deliver accurate, comprehensive briefing materials, including memos and presentations;
- Leverage public and non-public services to perform competitor / industry research;
- Leverage internal and external resources to design comprehensive public affairs plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 10+ years of diverse problem-solving experience, including public affairs, communications and/or government advocacy experience;
- Strong organizational skills and project management experience;
- Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills; sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong ability to articulate concepts and strategies effectively;
- Experience presenting to and communicating with senior management;
- Excellent relationship-building skills;
- High attention to detail; follows through to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness;
- Positive self-starter with proactive approach, excellent time management and prioritization skills;
- Mastery of core Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
