The Golf Course Superintendent Assistant will exhibit proficiency in all tasks associated with the daily care and maintenance of a private upscale Golf Course.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for current goals and objectives of department and accurate implementation of daily work objectives.
- Will energetically support all training activities with this department to ensure consistence throughout multi-course operation.
- Will assist in training, supporting and coaching all activities of the staff.
- Communicates regularly with Director of Courses and Grounds/Superintendent and makes recommendations.
- Will perform all duties in a safe operating manner while wearing all required safety equipment.
- Will perform Irrigation box repair.
- Will hand water greens and use moisture meters.
- Performs and manages all aspects of Chemical applications including record keeping and tank mixing.
- Will adjust and repair irrigation system as needed.
- Will fuse and repair HDPE irrigation pipe.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be in compliance with and support a Drug Free Workplace.
- Requires flexible availability. Will work weekends.
- Requires individual to spend long periods of time on their feet, walking, standing, or stooping.
- Must be well groomed and maintain a neat, clean and well-kept physical appearance.
- Will comply with all safety procedures, requirements, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Applicants should possess a turf certificate or be actively pursuing their degree.
- Be a current licensed pesticide applicator in Florida or pass the test in the first 60 days of employment.
- A minimum of 5 years of Golf Course experience is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The nature of the position requires the individual to spend long periods of time on their feet, walking, standing and stooping.
- Requires lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds.
