Description
SUMMARY
This Golf Shop Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Golf Shop, including Food and Beverage services, ensuring Golf Shop Team Members are meeting service standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises Golf Shop Team Members, working alongside the Team to observe guest interactions, resolve guest concerns and ensure fair distribution of work.
- Covers shifts for Team Member due to PTO, staff shortages, or vacations, performing job duties as needed.
- Prepares schedules and delegates work for the Team, taking into consideration workload due to holidays, tournaments, etc.
- Trains and develops the Team, making recommendations to management regarding additional training needs, evaluations and corrective actions.
- Verifies excellent guest service is being provided through friendly, courteous and professional communications in person or on the phone by the Team.
- Communicates effectively with Team Members in order to resolve personnel problems and discuss solutions.
- Prepares Team Member paperwork, work schedules and payroll information, submitting for management review in a timely manner.
- Ensures compliance with company standards for performance, service to patrons, licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Resolves or refers to management all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service.
- Monitors the inventory and supply of the Golf Shop merchandise, ensuring orders are made efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Oversees the reservation system, starting, monitoring and pace of play reporting any deficiencies to the Director of Golf.
- Observes the golf cart fleet for organization, cleanliness, and mechanical needs.
- Oversees Food and Beverage services ensuring quality of product and services are being met.
- Other duties as directed by management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to all types of weather conditions. This position is determined to have a potential for possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
- Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY
- Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
- Must have 3 years' experience in a sales/customer service role or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous Golf Shop experience preferred.
- Intermediate understanding of computer programs, including all Windows applications required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card/OLCC License within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work without supervision, to organize and track multiple projects with large amounts of detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines, and work well in pressure situations, delegating to support staff as needed.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
- Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
- Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
Salary Description
$46,122.31/year DOE
