The Global Technology Analyst I – AV Support Services is an integral part of Latham’s Technology team. This role will be responsible for providing high-touch audiovisual (“AV”) support across the firm, while consulting with customers to see what features they need for their meeting and determining the best platform to use (Zoom Webinar, Zoom Meeting, Microsoft Teams Meeting, WebEx, LoopUp, etc.). This role will be located in our New York office.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Hosting prep calls with the customer and guest speakers to ensure their audio, video, Internet, etc. meet specifications and advising them on how to optimize their presentation experience
- Hosting meetings as needed, including managing the virtual meetings features such as screen sharing, recording, polling, breakout rooms, and muting
- Providing post-event support including attendance reports and edited recordings
- Coordinating scheduling events in the firm’s Event Management Software, Outlook, and other systems
- Installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting audio/visual hardware such as cameras, lighting, microphones, projectors, sound equipment, cabling, and connectors
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Possess advanced knowledge of the various technologies, techniques and equipment used for high quality videoconferencing, audioconferencing, projecting, and other meeting support technologies. (e.g. control systems, video systems, audioconference phones, microphones, projections, speakers)
- Demonstrate the analytical skills needed to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems and test, recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems
- Exhibit the ability to provide quick and creative audiovisual solutions if conference room equipment fails
And have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; preferably a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent in Computer Science, Audiovisual, or Information Systems
- Certifications from AV manufacturers or integrators (e.g., Extron or Crestron) and industry organizations (e.g., AVIXA, CTS) will be considered a plus
- A minimum of three (3) years of technology support experience with PC hardware/software
- Advanced knowledge of audiovisual equipment including video codecs, projectors, microphones, and cameras
- Experience with videoconferencing platforms including Cisco, Zoom, Teams, etc.
