Job Responsibilities:

  • Manpower management including daily allocation, job posting, productivity improvements, required safety training scheduling and record keeping.
  • Monitor and implement new equipment (Red Tag process, coordination with Skilled Trades)
  • Monitor/Coach/Correct timekeeping system (Kronos/TKS)
  • Attend various cross functional meetings to ensure cooperation between departments (Production TIP, IE/Maintenance, Safety, Manpower, Business Manager, Layout, etc.)
  • Attend various department meetings to ensure floor compliance (PFEP, EWO/TWO, Launch, etc).
  • Meet with Union partners to resolve manpower issues
  • Distribute 71 reports, ensure appropriate OT charging.
  • Telemetric (Powerfleet) management
  • Manage appropriate budget accounts.
  • Attend daily GCA meeting and lead/develop Group Leader report out process.
  • Manage suggestion compliance.
  • Lead Yearly/Per diem vacation scheduling for shift.
  • Work with third party service provider to monitor mobile equipment fleet status.
  • Coordinate cross functionally to ensure PFCM engagement and compliance.
  • Support WSS (PS-5, PS-15) initiatives/reporting.
  • Support BIQ initiatives (GMS Next integration).
  • Vacation coverage for Shift Leader and Group Leaders.
  • Support GSC Launch initiatives. 
  • Drive department specific BPD initiatives (NSOT, CPU, Scorecard, etc.)
  • SAP ordering and management.

Q ualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • Must have 5 years of manufacturing experience, vehicle systems
  • Must have 2 years of people leader experience 
  • Working knowledge of the UAW national agreement 
  • Experience/knowledge of GM Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
  • Must be willing to rotate shifts

This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report on a full-time basis.
