Your Challenge
You are responsible for direct technical, and applications support of multiple Videojet industrial marking and coding products, including resolving issues raised by regional support. You also enable organizational growth by contributing technical knowledge, assisting with new product development, and supporting strategic policy deployment activities.
While not fully remote, this position offers flexibility with opportunities to work from home. Candidates must be located within the Greater Chicagoland area to allow for in office attendance as needed.
PLEASE NOTE: Potential for domestic and international travel exists (up to 10%). A US Passport is required.
As a Global EngineeringTechnical Support Specialist at Videojet, you will:
- Independently resolve complex issues requiring detailed systems and applications knowledge to deliver sustainable resolutions as part of a multi-functional team within established metrics.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated technical abilities on one or more Videojet technologies and manage projects relevant to those technologies.
- Provide testing, trial support, and advise as a domain expert to ensure that safety, serviceability, and product performance meets the highest industry standards and customer expectations.
- Work cross functionally across the business when required to meet defined business objectives, contributing to improved product quality, serviceability, performance, and customer experience.
- Create and update new and existing technical knowledge base articles and validate updates from other teams.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (or related technical degree) or an Associate degree in Electronics with demonstrated ability or minimum five years of work experience in technical project management.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, work in a dynamic environment, and successfully handle stressful situations when customer equipment is down.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Technical writing proficiency
