We are looking for a dynamicGlobal Director, Workforce Planningto lead Altium's transformational efforts around strategic Workforce Planning and forecasting. Workforce planning and management focuses on ensuring the organization has the right people, with the right skills, at the right place and time, and at the right cost. This role will lead the efforts in developing our strategic Workforce Planning approach, ensuring the right skills are captured in the organization. This includes evaluation and planning around skills adequacy, workforce distribution, and use of data to make informed Workforce Planning decisions. You will be responsible for building the set of capabilities, processes, and tools to analyze, forecast and plan for the future of the workforce.
You will lead the build-out of skills taxonomies, approach to skills segmentation, identification of current skill gaps as well as emerging critical skill needs to ensure skill adequacy in strategic roles across the franchise. The role will play a thought leadership role and coordinate with the broader efforts and partnership with the global HR team and Talent Acquisition.
A Day in The Life of Our Global Director, Workforce Planning- You will partner with the global HR team and Talent Acquisition on the creation of the Strategic Workforce Planning function, including thought leadership on how to include current and emerging skills in the planning process
- In partnership with our global HR team and talent acquisition, you will contribute to the creation of Altium's Strategic Workforce Planning function, inclusive of current and emerging skills company-wide
- Build the capabilities, processes, and tools that can analyze, forecast and plan for the future of the Altium workforce
- Translate strategic business unit decisions into forecasts of the critical skills required to carry out those decisions
- Lead the effort to develop skills taxonomies for key roles and the governance processes to ensure they are maintained
- Identify a system to serve as a skills database to store and keep market-relevant information on the skills taxonomies
- Partner with HR and People Teams to conduct an annual skills assessment to assess skill gaps and the progress made in closing them
- Lead the build-out of the strategic Workforce Planning process related to skills segmentation, forecasting and planning
- Serve as a data driven subject matter expert for Workforce Planning and contribute to broader skills initiatives
Who you are and what you'll need for this position:

- 10+ years of relevant experience in strategy design and implementation of Workforce Planning programs
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills demonstrating cross-cultural understanding and knowledge across multiple geographic locations
- Demonstrated ability to coach and influence peer group in decision making and strategic processes
- Great attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently
- Demonstrated influence management skills to lead and champion change
- Ability to analyze data and prepare executive level reports and recommendations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Able to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
The salary range for this role is $200,000-$230,000 OTE. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
