In accordance with CCR 249.3, this job control may be used to fill subsequent vacancies.
Under the supervision of the Supervising Engineering Geologist for the Regional Geologic and Landslide Mapping Program (RGLMP), the Research Data Manager (GIS) will function as the Geographical Information Systems andPublications Program Manager. The Geographical Information Systems andPublications Program Manager will be required to perform any combination of general management and coordination duties. The incumbents will be required to manage a complex program; participate in unit/branch strategic planning sessions, and state budgeting processes to meet mandatory and regulatory requirements; establish and maintain project priorities; and develop and effectively use all available resources; perform oversight on projects ensuring that end products or services are delivered on schedule, within the established budget, and in compliance with applicable laws; and utilize project management techniques to manage the progress of programs and project activities to ensure that project timelines and schedules are appropriately established, modified, and adhered to.

Working Conditions
This position is located in Sacramento, CA and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for employees who can satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. Specific telework schedules may be discussed further during the interview process.
