Compensation:
$90k - $100k base salary plus performance based bonus ranging for 8-12%, health insurance, vehicle, 401k match of 4%, PTO, Cell, Laptop and additional perks
Job Description:
We are looking for a Commercial LandscapeGeneral Manager for a $1mm per year operation which has recently been bought by new ownership. The out of state owner feels that this is a great market to compete, they have good equipment and staff and while the business is currently small, they are prepared to invest in the business to surpass the $3mm mark in annual revenue.
They want to hire a leader who can drive the business forward by being responsible for managing all aspects of operations, ensuring the delivery of quality service to our clients, and driving overall business growth.
The Owner who recently purchased this business plans to hit the $2.5mm-3mm mark and then sell the business. He is willing to commit to selling the business to this new GM so there is an opportunity for the GM to become the Owner. Considering that the GM will be directly involved with the operations, they will be highly bankable when it comes to financing a purchase.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of operations, including sales, production, and administrative functions
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue goals
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and complaints are proactively addressed through ongoing communication
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality service and promote a culture of safety and teamwork
- Hire, train, and mentor staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent service and meet production goals
- Develop and manage branch budgets and financial goals, including monitoring expenses and revenue
- Collaborate with other branch managers and corporate leadership to share best practices and ensure consistent service delivery across the company
- Participate in industry events and associations to stay up to date on the latest trends and innovations in the industry
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leadership and management in the landscaping or related industry
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of landscaping and horticulture practices
- Ability to manage diverse operating styles of staff and adjust to the seasonality of the business
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to operate with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
