General Manager

BRASS and the TUSK BAR, new food and beverage concepts in the Evelyn Hotel in Flatiron/ Nomad is seeking an experienced restaurant professional to oversee the restaurant operation. The dining room concept opens in late March.
The General Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations and ownership. A flexible, can do anything attitude is required.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Experience with new restaurant openings including budgeting, hiring, training
• Experience in HIGH volume environments, strong hospitality & service focus
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience in Senior Management in a major restaurant market
• Experience recruiting, developing and overseeing management teams
• Experience working closely with culinary management
• Strong service background and proven success developing service teams
• Experience overseeing high volume beverage programs; craft cocktail and advanced wine knowledge
• Proficiency with managing labor, daily sales reports 

• Responsibility for operating results; strong with financials (understanding P&Ls, managing budgets)
• Experience and success in project management; strong interpersonal skills and ability to bring people together
• Ability to work flexible hours that meets the demands of the business
• Proficiency in excel, word and other office products
