The General Manager (GM) of our strategic Business Unit (SBU) is responsible for the daily operations of the business to ensure a safe, productive, and efficient work environment. The GM will develop a yearly business plan and will oversee, direct and execute the plans budgeted goals. The GM will support its core product offering in accordance with the plan, Shareholder, and Executives expectations. The GM will manage all aspects of the operations and activities within the business unit.
Essential Duties:
1. support the needs of the SBU core products/services to ensure timely delivery of product and or service;
2. develop, implement and achieve or exceed the business units approved operating budget and financial plan;
3. develop and implement a strategic sales plan to identify and exploit market opportunities including product development focused on growing market share;
4. management meetings: prepare, attend, engage and contribute to the team’s discussion points with constructive and solutions based comments. Ensure professional conduct is maintained and criticisms void of offered solutions are discouraged;
5. management reporting: develop appropriate critical operational reports that include critical data points and metrics measurement to ensure operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability;
6. maintain regular and effective communications between departments, TKG services and sister GM operations to ensure goals are being met and to encourage intra-business cooperation to keep spend within the group;
7. formulate effective policies and procedures to support the following shared services departments:
8. Establish ‘Best Practices’ culture throughout the SBU;
9. Facilities management: responsible for overall facility compliance to TKG corporate and industry regulations, OSHA, HAZMAT and capital asset maintenance and upkeep programs.

Skills:
