Job Role: Gelato Chef / Ice Cream Maker for *store opening in mid May 2024*

Salary: Base Pay for this role is $18 (-$20)/hr with our stores across the country earning between $5-$7+/hr in tips

Average Pay with Tips: $25-27+/hr

Your role:

As a Gelato Chef/ Ice Cream you’ll work as part of a team to ensure all gelato meets Venchi standards and is always delicious. The Gelato Chef is responsible to produce and maintain the standard of gelato in the shop. You are an integral part of the store team. We are seeking a Gelato Chef who is motivated to work in a fast pace, busy environment; someone who is comfortable working in a kitchen and has keen attention to detail.

In Summary….

• Ensure all gelato is prepared, displayed, and sold according to Venchi standards
• You must ensure that the maintenance of the gelato equipment is to the required Health and Safety standards.
• Liaise with Store Manager to organize ordering and stock control, rotation.
• Follow up on orders and stock, adjusting orders if required prior to the deadlines.
• Report any issues to the Store and Area Manager.
• Be aware of gelato sales within your shop.
• Test, clean, order the required parts when in need.
• Take ownership of the compilation of the HACCP manual, temperature, lotto records and stock rotation following the FIFO principal.
• Ensure all deliveries are checked correctly and all discrepancies are being notified and reported.
• Follow the gelato production setting standards and guidelines
• Conduct regular checks on team knowledge, understanding and overall practices.
