LCRA is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and energetic individual to join our team to manage our gas operations. Operates and maintains high production levels on oil and gas leases. Responsible for effective execution of all phases of production. Leads operations and maintenance work related to oil and gas leases. Works closely with LCRA's Generation Desk (GenDesk) to ensure proper gas movement through the pipeline system.
This position utilizes in-depth knowledge of best practices and experience in own discipline to provide and improve services. Takes a new perspective to solve complex problems. You will be trusted to:
- Monitor, coordinate, and communicate with GenDesk on natural gas flow parameters at all delivery and redelivery points to ensure proper gas supply deliveries to all plant facilities. Makes reactive and proactive decisions in consideration of current and expected next-day situations.
- Operate compressors, separators, treaters and related equipment for delivery of natural gas to the storage field or power plants.
- Ensure that accurate oil, gas and water production measurements are being obtained and reported on a continuous basis.
- Ensure compliance with LCRA's safe operation procedures and state and federal codes.
You qualify with:
- Five or more years of experience in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, controls or operations in a Gas Storage, gas delivery, power generation or water system environment or other relevant experience, including at least one year of experience operating a control board.
- A degree(s) in electronics, control systems, power plant operations or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
