Job Type: Full-time; Hourly
Reports to: Production Manager
Summary: To control the overall operation of the Cement Plant, making sure to maintain safety, quality, and production within the corporate standards.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have operated Cement Raw Mill, Cement Kiln, or Cement Ball Mill at a Cement Manufacturing Plant.
- Understanding of Texas Lehigh Cement Company’s safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures

- Observe and adhere to Texas Lehigh Cement Company’s safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure mill operation is following OSHA and/or MSHA and company safety standards.
- Responsible for Ball mill & Dryer process control during assigned shift - Oversees the following production functions through a centralized Control Room: reclaiming of material in and from storage bins and areas; raw grinding; managing material blending if needed; Drying & Grinding; and transfer of product to finish cement silos.
- Effectively analyzes all available information and makes any operating adjustments necessary to maintain proper and stable operating conditions. Reports unusual occurrences or operating conditions, questionable instrumentation readings, inconsistent control loop responses and other production anomalies as they occur throughout the plant to Production Manager.
- Responsible for All Raw material storage (Adhere to Quality Process Specs)
- Monitor laboratory test results during shift and take corrective action as necessary to meet quality and quantity standards.
- Ensure mill operation is in environmental compliance.
- Receives feedback from Maintenance personnel regarding machine operation variations and assists with the diagnosis of problems.
- Support and maintain the plant safety program through day-to-day safety contacts with employees and department safety meetings, ensure assigned work areas are safe and safety requirements are observed.
- Will be required to work rotating shift.
