Position Summary
This position is responsible for safely and efficiently starting and regulating plant processing equipment. The Control Room Operator will run and monitor plant operations from a centralized location under the direction of the Plant Manager and Supervisor
Primary Duties
- Starts, monitors, and regulates plant processing equipment within the company guidelines and safety standards
- Adjusts equipment programming to maximize production
- Generates work requests using maintenance planning program
- Maintains daily production reports and exchanges relevant information with others daily
- Monitors/Maintains load out area and operates mobile equipment as needed
- Operates other mobile and plant equipment, including skid steer, front end loader, etc. in a safe manner if needed
- Conducts pre-shift equipment/plant inspections and completes required paperwork accurately
- Aides in plant operation and repairs to plant equipment
- Maintains housekeeping in areas of responsibility
- Aides in the training of co-workers as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, possible weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
- Will take an active role in plant safety initiatives
- Must be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated
- Able to adhere to MSHA guidelines and plant safety rules and regulations
- Must be able to read and interpret gauges
- Possess basic mathematical aptitude to complete daily reports
- Must be able to wear all required safety equipment & PPE
- Must be able to communicate over CB radio or with hand signals and warning sounds, with coworkers regarding movement of vehicles and mobile equipment.
- Must be service orientated with proven ability to work in a TEAM environment
Environmental Conditions
- Majority of work is performed outdoors.
- Exposure to elements of weather to include extremes in heat, humidity, cold, dust and moisture for extended periods.
- Occasionally/frequently exposed to rough, muddy and icy surface conditions.
- Intermittent exposure to high noise levels and truck vibration.
- Frequently exposed to water and wet conditions.

Salary: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
