Welder/Fabricator

Position Overview:

We are an Austin-based specialty structural glass design, engineering and manufacturing company, currently looking for a Welder, with a high school education or GED and with 5-10 years minimum of welding experience with steel and stainless steel in job shop environment. Certifications are preferred/desired

The ideal candidate is reliable, responsible and has good attention to detail, with the ability to set up and operate various types of welding equipment and read blueprints/schematics and determine welding plans.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years minimum welding experience required
• Stainless steel and steel welding experience required
• Experience with manual equipment such as saw, drill press, mill a plus
• Certificates in stainless steel and carbon preferred but not required (we will certify you if you are not certified)
• Layout experience highly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various types of welding equipment (MIG, TIG)
• Read blue prints and schematics with ability to determine welding plan
• Maintain knowledge of inspection equipment and quality levels
• Work well with a team and independently, depending on needs
• Follow all company safety protocols
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to travel to customer sites if required
• PPE required and will be supplied if needed
• Ability to work OT and be reliable
