SSI is seeking a Future Technology Division Programmatic SME in Colorado Springs, CO.
The qualified applicant will support the Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP) Future Technology Division (FTD). The applicant will focus on program management-like activities in support of space system resiliency concept development, concept trade studies and assessments, and internal Division coordination across all classification levels.
SSDP functions as the center of excellence on options and strategies (materiel and non-materiel, cross Title 10/50, cross-domain) leading to a more resilient National Security Space (NSS) enterprise. FTD specializes in identifying and assessing emerging technologies for NSS and transitioning them across Government, industry, educational institutions, and Federally Funded Research and Development Corporations (FFRDCs).
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist FTD Division Chief in program management efforts, including Statement of Work development, schedule and performance management and tracking, and cost tracking to include evaluating contractor monthly financial reports.
Assist FTD Division Chief in documenting study results, distilling material, and crafting narrative for senior leadership.
Track analysis efforts across multiple contractor-led developments and produce recommendations to enhance and optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of proactive defense capability integration and execution.
REQUIREMENTS:
Security Clearance:
US citizen and must possess an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility, ability to be cleared for SAP and be able to successfully pass a counter-intelligence polygraph. An existing polygraph is highly desired.
Education:
MA/MS degree in related field.
Programmatic Background:
Ability to work with the SSDP Biz ops team to put efforts on contract and develop supporting documentation; manage calendars at the Division level; actively manage cost, schedule, and performance; aggregate and generate monthly financial reports for each contracted effort.
Experience: 10+ years in a program management role with direct experience putting efforts into contracts and managing cost, schedule, and performance.
Certifications: PM/system engineering certifications (Commercial or military) (Desired PM Level II).
Communications/Leadership Background:
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills.
Familiarity with classified networks and systems.
Familiarity with the entire Title 10/50 space architectures.
Ability to decompose and articulate thoughts in chart or narrative form, and to quickly develop programmatic and informational content in support of the Division Chief.
Ability to aggregate contractor deliverables and generate high-quality, professional charts and documents that can be communicated to senior leadership.
Ability to communicate directors/division chief's intent to other Division or SWAC personnel as well as to articulate and translate technical content into leadership-level decision-making products.
Technical Background:
Technical understanding of how space systems operate in different orbital regimes.
SSI has a target salary range: $150,000 - $170,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
