Furniture Sales and Customer Service... We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual with in-person retail sales experience to join our team at Hotel Surplus Outlet. We are long-established furniture liquidators, selling new and used furniture at our warehouse/retail location in Lake Balboa (Van Nuys). We are open seven days a week during daytime hours, and availability to work on weekend shifts is important consideration.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who likes retail sales , enjoys helping others, and has a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. It could be a great fit for an individual with and interest and/or experience in furniture, decor, and design. Duties:
- Greet incoming store customers and explain the basics about our store -Direct customers to products and goods which are responsive to their needs. -Answer calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Provide information about products, services, and promotions to customers
- Assist customers with orders and resolving any issues or concerns
- Utilize phone etiquette skills to ensure positive interactions with customers
- Conduct outbound calls to follow up on customer inquiries or provide updates as needed
- Suggest products or alternatives to meet their needs.
- Perform sales, invoices, and data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless customer experiences
Experience:
- Previous experience in a Customer Service role is preferred. - An interest in furniture, design and decorating is a huge asset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
- Sales experience is beneficial for Customer Service and
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism
- Comfortable making outbound calls to customers
