- Ability to perform the same duties of sales associates and maintain acceptable sales numbers.
- Conduct Hub and Spoke in manager’s absence.
- Verify all scheduled sales associates are present and notify management of any absences.
- Sales staff must check with management before leaving the sales floor.
- Review and sign pending sales orders.
- Basic understanding of other department operations.
- Ability to understand and run daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Able to conduct daily sales meeting.
- Training and mentoring new hires/utilizing Jerome’s University.
- Maintain relationships with manager/lead in all departments.
- Ensure sales associates are turning in daily area assignments.
- At closing time ensure that all doors are secure, all customers have left the premises, and the alarm is set.
- Make sure aisles are clear (be aware of potential trips and falls).
- Do a visual exterior and interior walk through.
- Check doors to make sure they are secure.
- Able to fill out any accident report or Worker’s Compensation paperwork.
- Immediately report any injuries to HR and fill out Accident/Worker’s Compensation paperwork.
