Sales and Merchandising Coordinator
Sunset West, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation (NASDAQ: HOFT), is currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator to work in our Vista, CA location. Hooker Furnishings Corporation, in its 100th year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods, leather furniture, fabric-upholstered furniture and outdoor furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.
The Sales and Merchandising Coordinator ensures the Sales Department is performing all activities necessary to complete transactions efficiently as well as assist in providing sales reps with the tools needed to drive profitable volume. This position requires learning and understanding the materials, manufacturing process and distribution model of Sunset West.
Position Responsibilities
- Managing high volume Sales inbox
- Maintaining updated pricing and margin documents for the organization
- Ensuring sales materials and digital files are kept current
- Tracking and communicating product, pricing, and operation changes
- Compiling and distributing sales reporting (Power BI reports)
- Partnering with on-site customer service for escalations, statuses, and priority orders
- Maintaining product data via PIM platform
- Travel and onsite coordination of various industry Trade Shows
Candidate Qualifications:
- Advanced Excel experience required.
- Travel required to all major furniture show markets (6-10 events per year)
- Demonstrated proficiency with ERP or CRM; Sales reporting software experience a plus (tableau, Power BI, Salesforce)
- Must be articulate, and able to communicate information clearly and concisely in both oral and written communication.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
- Prior sales team support or Inside sales experience a plus
- Enjoy fast paced and independent work.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm – Onsite at Vista office
Pay Range: $26.00-31.00
