Job description

Consistently ranked as one of the top elite entertainment and performing arts institutions in the world, UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television (TFT) offers an innovative curriculum that integrates the study and creation of live performance, film, television, and the digital arts. When you join TFT, you become part of a School driven by a vision to give students the means to challenge constructs as multifaceted artists and scholars, filled with the knowledge, insight and point of view to create meaningful experiences. Join us as our Director of Development and use your ability to raise funds to enable the school to serve its vision as a launching pad for inclusive excellence in the creation of creators and the making of makers. You will receive the resources to excel within a dynamic, collaborative and innovative team that offers long-term opportunities for personal and professional development as part of a robust External Affairs enterprise serving UCLA.
Serving as the Director of Development for TFT, you will plan and implement a strong, proactive major gift program that reflects the academic priorities of the school and will develop and maintain a portfolio of major individual gift prospects. As the Director, you will work closely with the school's faculty, leadership and your colleagues on the TFT development team to gain knowledge of research interests and areas of expertise, determine market feasibility for academic priorities and provide advice and counsel on fundraising strategies and initiatives. You will utilize available data to develop constituencies and identify prospects in relation to TFT priorities; organize and conduct meetings of volunteers and donors to identify new prospective donors for private support; and create additional vehicles and methods for identifying new prospects. In addition, as the Director, you will establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with appropriate individuals and offices in TFT, Development and throughout External Affairs.
