Job description

As an Associate Director of Development and a valued member of the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering's Major Gifts team, you will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of lower level major gift prospects in support of the School's mission and strategic plan. You will be part of a school recognized around the world as a leader in engineering, education, research and service that has developed generations of rigorously trained engineers and knows the power engineering has to change lives. You will serve as a liaison between External Affairs and one or more student-facing or academic departments within the School, meeting with faculty in priority areas to gain knowledge of research interests and areas of expertise, and will represent the School to the broader community. As our Associate Director, you will find success through identifying, growing and managing a portfolio of lower level major gift prospects; organizing and conducting meetings with prospective donors; generating compelling written and oral communications to constituencies; and collaborating with internal stakeholders to advance the School's philanthropic priorities. As a valued member of our dynamic, innovative team, you will given the guidance, inspiration and resources to excel as part of the many professional growth opportunities we offer staff at UCLA.
