Airsled, the global leader in low-pressure, air film solutions, is seeking a full-time Production Associate for its Newark, DE facility. This role will be responsible for general production tasks associated with the production, assembly, and packaging of Airsled products. This role absolutely requires the ability to use power tools such as a table saw, band saw, drill, sander, etc., and will work very closely with the existing production staff. This role reports directly to the Managing Director of Airsled. Though working under the close supervision of existing production staff, the Production Associate will be expected to gain enough knowledge and understanding of Airsled's production processes to function independently and with minimal daily oversight. This is a key role within the organization and the individual must be prepared to learn quickly and take ownership of the duties associated with the role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Production - Contribute to company meeting its production objectives by supporting as-needed
production tasks. The production tasks will cover duties such as cutting plywood, trimming and
assembling hoses, sanding aluminum, cutting and gluing rubberized fabric, assembling plastic
components, and various other activities necessary to achieve production goals. - Facility maintenance - Contribute to maintaining company's clean and safe work environment.
Duties will include general cleanup of equipment and shop area, and receiving, organizing, and
racking delivered supplies and materials,
Boxing and packaging - Ensure all of company's shipments meet quality standards for optimal
customer satisfaction. - Warehouse and Inventory Management - Facilitate the shipping and receiving processes to
maintain a high degree of organization of products within the facility. - Quality Control - Independently and in collaboration with more senior production staff, verify
that all products, including raw materials, components, and finished products, meet company's
quality and/or performance standards
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE PRODUCTION ASSOCIATION ROLE
- Must have experience using a table saw, band saw, hand tools and be able to read and mark
measurements. - Written and Verbal communication skills.
- Be able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation to adhere to work schedule.
- Must feel comfortable working independently but also take guidance and instruction from
more senior production personnel. - Carries out duties in compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing
appropriate personal protective equipment required for each type of work assignment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a FULL-TIME, MONDAY-FRIDAY position from 8:30am-5pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
