GentleCare Laser Aesthetics is a premier medical spa located in Long Beach, CA that offers a range of noninvasive cosmetic treatments designed to enhance the appearance and health of the skin. We are seeking a professional and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Medical Front Office Receptionist / Medical Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting clients as they arrive at our medical spa, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling customer inquiries. The perfect candidate will have some knowledge of medical terminology and at least one year of experience in a medical office or customer-facing role. This is a part-time position that requires 3-4 days a week, at least 20 hours, with office hours from 9am-6pm Monday through Friday or from 9am-2pm on Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients as they arrive at the medical spa and check them in for their appointments
- Answer phone calls, text messages, emails and handle customer inquiries
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect payment for services and process transactions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable with handling high volume calls, speaking with clients, and customer resolution
- Some knowledge of medical terminology
- At least one year of experience in a medical office or customer-facing role
- Professionalism and great attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Organizational Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Experience in patient care and customer service.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Preferred experience with an EMR/EHR or scheduling system
