Job Overview: Responsible for sales efforts to help boost revenue and relationship opportunities for the hotel. Supervise all aspects of the front desk in accordance with established guest service to deliver a guest experience that is exceptional and brings the brand to life.
Front Office Manager Essential Tasks:
- Conduct Self in accordance with As One Values and Mission, including Brand Standards
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, evaluate and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and are consistent with As One Management core mission and values.
- Communicate effectively and resolve guest complaints and concerns by conducting swift, thorough research of the situation and determining the most effective solutions.
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental engagement & overall guest satisfaction.
- Interact with guests on an individual level to create a relationship and culture that will result in repeat stays.
- Oversee Front Office operations in the absence of the General Manager.
- Perform bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts, ensuring payments are fully processed and conducting audits.
- Make and confirm reservations.
- Promote brand-specific marketing programs.
- Coordinate with the Director of Sales to provide onsite tours for potential clients, establish internal leads and collaborate on new marketing strategies.
- Greet guests immediately upon arrival; register and assign guests to hotel rooms.
- Serve as a central communication point during emergency/crisis situations; develop and maintain relationships with local fire, police, and emergency personnel.
- Compute bills, collect payments, handle cash, and make change for guests.
- Ensure hotel entrance, reception and other public areas are properly maintained in regards to cleanliness and appearance.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Ensure employees complete and follow all training required by As One and Brand.
- Ensure all team members are all trained on safety procedures for the hotel and maintain regular reviews 2x a year.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Your Background and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Associate’s degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
- Previous hotel or retail management experience preferred
- RAMP Server/Seller Certification, CPR/FIRST AID certification, Food Safety Certification preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience

Work Environment and Context
- Work schedule varies and may include working all shifts, holidays and weekends.
- Requires standing for extended periods of time, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, manual dexterity, kneeling or crouching.
