You'll be a great fit if you find joy in:
- Leading practice operations in the absence of the Practice Administrator.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the billing team to ensure all deadlines and quality measures are met.
- Addressing escalated issues from patients, providers and staff.
- Motivating the billing team and maintaining a positive work culture.
- Partner with other department supervisors/managers to ensure collaboration between departments.
- Creating and maintaining documentation of department procedures and processes.
- Developing and maintaining staff training procedures and processes.
- Interviewing and training of new hires.
- Overseeing and leading the Front Office staff (check in and check out)
- Billing/RCM Functions
- When business needs require it, the Supervisor will also perform the front desk responsibilities
- The ideal candidate for this role will be open to taking on additional responsibilities outside of the billing office.

Requirements
To be considered, you'll need:
- Candidate should have a minimum of 1 year on the job medical billing experience or certification through AAPC or AHIMA.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Experience working with Electronic Response Admittance's (ERAs) and Explanation of Benefits(EOBS).
- Must have strong knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding guidelines, Modifier usage and CCI bundling edits.
- Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
- Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
- Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, team-members, and other employees.
- Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
- NextGen Software experience a plus, but not required
- 2+ years in a medical billing position required; Ophthalmology related billing is a plus.
- Previous experience as supervisor or team leader required.
