Job Qualification:
SUMMARY: Provide administrative support to a department managers and case managers and manage Medical Records. Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project-based work. Project a professional company image through person-to-person and phone interaction.
Education and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or higher required and Medical certification preferred but not required
Skills/Experience:
1. Knowledge of medical insurance verification billing and collection practices.
2. Knowledge of computer programs.
3. Knowledge of business office procedures.
4. Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
5. Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
6. Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
7. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients,
employees and the public.
9. Must be well organized and detail oriented.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for opening office at 8:30 AM and closing the office at pm daily.
2. Create and modify documents using DocuSign.
3. Distribute and mail checks and other items to employees.
4. Sign for and distribute UPS/Fed Ex/other packages.
5. Maintain OPT/SBT calendars in Outlook.
6. Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
7. Prepare communications, such as memos, emails
8. Prepare and mail correspondence as requested
9. Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
10. Answer phones and Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
11. Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
12. Checking in patients and notifying providers of patient arrivals
13. Maintaining office inventory and restocking office supplies
Additional Responsibility
1. Maintain Attendance for day treatment and send weekly reports to schools.
2. Manage any Transportation requests or needs.
3. Manage school/student lunch request
4. Preparing patient charts and gathering information and documents from patients
5. Ensuring that the Medical Records are organized, accurate and complete
6. Create and maintain filing system, both electronic and physical Medical Records quickly and accurately
7. Safeguarding patient records and ensuring that everyone complies with the HIPAA standards
8. Transferring data into the facility’s main system ICANN.
9. Processing the records for admitting and discharging patients within 5 days of admit or discharge.
10. Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required for treatment.
11. Checking insurance eligibility and benefits verification for treatments.
12. Collect Co-Pays and Co-Insurance
13. Answering emails and other electronic messages as required
14. Collecting and Sorting Mail.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: up to $20 per hour dependant upon qualifications.
