SalaryABC Pediatrics of Asheville is seeking a warm, welcoming Front Desk Specialist to join our team. Regular schedule of 2 full weekdays per week. Hours are 8am-closing, usually between 6-7pm.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Check in - ensuring completion of all forms and registration tasks; scanning, entering, updating, and verifying insurance information; collecting prior account balances and copays.
- Check out – collecting fees; printing work/school notes and scheduling follow up appointments.
- Patient flow facilitation - monitoring appointment schedules and communicating with patients and colleagues re timing of arrivals and wait times.
- Maintaining a neat and clean workspace, reception area and lobby.
- Processing incoming and outgoing medical records requests.
Skills and abilities:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
- Attention to detail, efficiency and accuracy during data entry required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred.
Education and experience:
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Medical Office Administration or related major preferred.
- Min 1 year Front Desk in a medical office required.
- Experience helpful/ preferred with Athena EHR, Phreesia, Vaxcare.
