King Health Systems is seeking a dynamic, friendly, and upbeat full time medical receptionist and outreach professional for our outpatient mental health clinic in Laurel, MD.
Our goal is to provide individualized mental health care to individuals and families in need. We provide outpatient mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation services, and medication management to clients in the West Baltimore, Laurel, and Cockeysville areas.
Responsibilities:
- Strengthen existing relationships and cultivate new ones through working with existing physicians and new referring physicians alike.
- Open and/or close the clinic M-F as needed.
- Help develop business relationships and contacts, resulting in increased fundraising, marketing, referrals, and overall community involvement.
- Check patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Answer and manage the multi-line phone system.
- Enter new referrals into an electronic medical health record.
- Schedule new and ongoing psychiatric appointments.
- Get client consent forms signed.
- Contact scheduled patients with appointment reminders.
- Update records as needed in the electronic medical health record.
- Maintain an appointment calendar for all clinicians.
- Assist our in person clients with setting up a video call on site with the nurse practitioner.
- Take blood pressure and weight measurements for in person clients.
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care doctors, pharmacies, rehabilitation programs, and other referral sources as needed.
- Handle daily incoming and outgoing mail, and faxing of records as needed.
- Format and send out monthly newsletters, e-birthday cards, satisfaction surveys, reminders, and other company communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Customer Service or Medical Office experience preferred
- Familiarity with medical insurances
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new applications
- Ability to multi-task
- High level of organization
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Competency with equipment and medical information pertaining to health screenings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
