RMA is seeking to fill a Front Desk/Medical Assistant (dual role) position. The primary function will be that of the Front Desk but function as a Medical Assistant when needed.
Front Desk Job Summary:
As an RMA receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. The receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Open the facility every morning- Receiving visitors, greeting, welcoming, and directing them.
- Verify insurance on every scheduled patient. This includes several insurance portals to complete the process.
- Check in patients which includes taking payments, verifying insurance, address, nephrologist, pharmacy, PCP, ensure all paperwork is completed if the patient is a consult.
- Scanning and uploading all paperwork for the patient’s chart.
- Schedule appointments for patients upon leaving the facility, providing the patient with all the proper documentation upon discharge.
- Keep the waiting area clean.
- Deal with queries from the public
- Monitor visitors and maintain security awareness.
- Receive and sort packages from mail deliveries.
- Responsible for closing the facility for the end, locking the front doors.

Medical Assistant Job Description
JOB DEFINITION:
The medical assistant is a medical support professional that performs a variety of tasks to assist physicians in providing excellent patient care, while ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently. Medical assistants are also required to complete administrative tasks, while practicing excellent communication to patients and physicians. The medical assistant works directly under the supervision of the clinical manager and the physician.
Successful medical assistants must have a good understanding medical terminology to be able to read and understand patient’s charts.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
To facilitate physician’s performance the medical assistant will anticipate what the physicians will need without prompting, therefore, they must have coordination skills, they are orderly, and conscientious. Must have problem sensitivity in order to recognize when something is wrong or when something will go wrong. The medical assistant maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Prepares the patient exam rooms, provides direct patient care by taking medical histories, charting, completing all vital signs and collects body fluid samples. The medical assistant secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by guarding all electronic medical records along with prepping the patient record before the patient visit.
The medical assistant will keep supplies ready by inventorying on hand stock, placing orders; verifying receipts. The medical assistants will be able to troubleshoot equipment and calling for repairs when needed.
The medical assistant will update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. They will adhere to professional standards policies and procedures, federal state, and local requirements.
Communicates regularly in a positive manner with the Clinical Manager, Nephrologists and other team member’s hospitals and dialysis facilities regarding all patient related issues.
Responsible for all other duties/procedures requested by Clinical Manager and or Medical Providers.
MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* BLS certification required.
* High school diploma
* Medical assistant certification
* Knowledge of HER system
* Exceptional customer service.
