Responsibilities
· Welcoming and greeting all patients.
· Answering a high volume of telephone calls while maintaining a polite manner and using proper telephone etiquette.
· Schedule incoming appointments for new and existing patients and visitors.
· Register new patients and update existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information. Insurance data collection and verification.
· Facilitates patient flow by notifying the clinical staff of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff.
· Checking out patients, including payment collection, referral processing, and scheduling appointments.
· Scanning and sorting medical documents.
- Advanced organizational skills.
· Responds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and referring providers in a courteous manner.
· Message clinical staff as needed based on patient or referring physician inquires.
· Responsible for keeping reception area organized and clean.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years’ experience in a busy Medical Office.
Must have experience handling high volume of telephone calls and handling a multi-system phone line.
Experience working with Electronic Health Records including taking messages.
Familiarity with Medical Terminology required.
Must have the ability to be organized, multi-task and prioritize while being detailed oriented.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Must have a positive attitude and be able to work as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
