Front Desk Receptionist

We are an Aveda Concept Salon, located on 3rd street in Geneva. As a family owned salon, we pride ourselves in the warm and friendly atmosphere that is the foundation of our company culture.

We are looking for both makeup artists and/or Front Desk Receptionists. This can also be a dual position, where time is split between both Front Desk and performing makeup services. Those interested in more of a Front Desk role should have an interest in performing minor/basic makeup services as that will be a requirement. This position is paid hourly, with commission for both product and service sales.

At the moment, we don't have a specific shift we are looking for, as we have staggered start times for all Front Desk staff. That said, we are looking for individuals who can fill either morning, mid-day and evening shifts. Those are typically, 8:15am - 2:30pm, 11am or noon - 5pm or 6pm, and 2:30pm - 8:30pm. We try to vary assigned shifts, but can be flexible based on your schedule. We'll determine a schedule that works with the right candidate. A key factor is the availability to work on Saturdays and/or Mondays.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of computer navigation
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with social media applications
• Interest in performing basic makeup services (commission paid for doing so)

Pay: hourly (based on experience) plus both retail and service commission, and tips. Across each of these, one can expect to earn between $15 - $20+/hour or more based on performance.
