Overall Purpose of the Job
The main goal of a receptionist/Front Desk assistant is to provide excellent customer service and administrative support to the patients and the employees of an organization. The Front Desk Receptionist should create a positive and welcoming experience for our patients while efficiently managing the administrative duties of the Front Desk
Major functions/ responsibilities
- Greeting and welcoming patients as they arrive
- Answering and delegating all phone calls and emails
- Answer phones with confidentiality and in a professional manner
- Assists Patient Coordinator with checking in patients for their scheduled appointments
- Informing clinicians when their patients have arrived
- Creating new patient folders
- Scheduling and managing new patient appointments
- Receiving and/or distributing mail and packages
- Assist with filing and faxing over patient’s paperwork
- Maintaining a tidy and organized Front Desk area, including keeping supplies stocked and ensuring that the reception area presents a professional image
- Collecting clinician charts and checking for follow up items
- Matching paperwork to chart that arrives via email and fax
- Filing patient charts
- Coordinating and communicating with different departments on a day to day basis

- Assisting with other administrative tasks (i.e. data entry, billing)
Educational/ Other Requirements
- Education:
-High School Diploma or equivalent [REQUIRED]
- Bachelor's Degree [Preferred but not required]
- Requirements:

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
