RUPCO is hiring a part time Receptionist to work at the Front Desk of our main office in Kingston. This position will work 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). The hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm. (7 hour work day with an unpaid 60 minute lunch break)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist is responsible for managing our Front Desk and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. The receptionist is responsible for receiving visitors at the Front Desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately, answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls, and receiving and sorting daily mail.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering incoming phone calls and directing to appropriate staff.
- Greeting visitors, tenants and clients at the Front Desk.
- Replenishing the supplies of applications and program information as needed.
- Replenishing paper in copiers and fax machine daily.
- Opening incoming mail and distributing to staff.
- Assist Office Manager with data entry and clerical tasks.
- Monitoring postage and refilling postage meter as needed
- Assist other departments with data entry, copying, mailings and other clerical needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience is preferred.
- Computer proficiency and data base experience in excel, Word required. Ability to learn other technology if required.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and a pleasant demeanor
- Must have tolerance and patience with communicating to a diverse population of tenants and clients that RUPCO serves.
- Must be organized and have the ability to multi-task
