SalaryOur urgent care in Arlington, TX is looking for a Front Desk candidate who will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. An ideal Front Desk candidate must have prior experience and knowledge of insurance verification (deductibles and copays knowledge and collection). This is a 4 days a week full-time position with benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance and collect payments (deductibles, copays, etc)
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Arrange laboratory services
- Check in patients and type up patients charts
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Answer phone calls, emails, and fax in a timely and appropriate manner
Skills
- Proven working experience as a Front Desk
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Experience and knowledge of insurance verification, payment collection and checking in patients
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Certification in medical assistance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

- Front desk: 1 year (Preferred)

- BLS Certification (Preferred)
