Job Summary: The Concierge plays a pivotal role in creating a positive first impression, ensuring efficient Front Desk operations, and contributing to overall patient satisfaction within the dental office. The Concierge is the first point of contact and contributes significantly to the overall atmosphere and efficiency of the dental practice. This position primarily serves external customers, including patients and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Front Desk Operations:
- Greet patients warmly as they arrive and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with patient inquiries.
- Verify patient information, update records, and collect necessary paperwork.
- Assist patients in completing required forms and documentation.
2. Appointment Scheduling:
- Efficiently schedule and coordinate patient appointments using the smart scheduling system.
- Confirm upcoming appointments with patients through phone calls, emails, and messages.
3. Insurance Verification:
- Collect and update insurance information from patients.
- Coordinate with the insurance verification team to ensure accurate verification is completed 7 business days ahead of appointment.
4. Interpersonal Communication:
- Provide information about dental procedures, treatments, and general practice policies.
- Address patient concerns before, during, and after procedures.
- Utilize effective communication skills and professionalism in all patient interactions.
- Relay messages from patients to the appropriate dental staff members.
- Collaborate with the treatment coordinator, office manager, and other team members.
5. Reception Area Management:
- Maintain a clean, organized reception area for patients.
- Monitor and manage patient flow to minimize wait times.
6. Information Desk:
- Act as an information resource for patients and visitors.
- Provide directions, information about nearby amenities, and other relevant details.
7. Payment Processing:
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, or payments for services rendered.
- Record payments in patient accounts, accurately allocating to rendering providers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in customer service or a similar role (1 year required, 2 years preferred).
- Competency in succinct grammar, vocabulary, and spelling to ensure clear and effective written and verbal communication.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in handling phone systems and basic office equipment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
