Front Desk Receptionist

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our physical therapy and massage therapy clinic. This position is part-time, requiring availability from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include patient scheduling, handling payments for copays, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedule appointments for physical therapy and massage therapy sessions using our electronic scheduling system.
• Verify patient insurance information and collect copayments.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or redirect them appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
• Assist therapists with administrative tasks as needed.
• Keep track of office supplies and place orders when necessary.
• Handle patient records with confidentiality and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns or inquiries effectively.
• Assist with billing tasks and reconciling payments as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency in using electronic scheduling systems and basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling payments.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
