With 650+ employees we have grown to fifty brick and mortar retail locations in multiple states including several internet channels.

We are currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our corporate headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan. As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing the Front Desk, lobby, and conference area, and for providing general administrative and clerical support to ensure office operations run smoothly at all times.

Front Desk Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and notifies appropriate individual of the arrival.
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls using a multi-line phone system; taking messages, answering basic questions, and giving location directions/information to truck drivers or others.
  • Receive Heartline calls regarding customer concerns and/or complaints; takes all details of the issue the customer is dealing with and routing to the Regional Manager and HQ Care Team via email.
  • Receives daily inter-store mail bags; opens bags, sorts mail, date stamps, and distributes items around office.
  • Receives daily mail, newspapers, documents, packages, and/or courier deliveries from outside parties (non-store); sorts, date stamps, and distributes items appropriately.
  • Prepares daily mail for transport to post office; creates certified mailing slips and FedEx labels as needed.
  • Maintain daily log of traveling employees’ schedules and routes.
  • Maintain main conference room calendar; cleans and sets up in preparation for meetings, takes down and wipes down space after meetings.
  • Manage coffee and kitchenette supply inventory, arranging for restock and/or maintenance as needed.
  • Manage weekly office and employee break room refrigerator cleanings.
  • Performs light tidying and cleaning duties for front lobby, main conference room, and kitchenette; dusting, wiping, vacuuming, and watering plants.
  • Performs general administrative and clerical support tasks for Human Resources and other departments.
  • Performs or facilitates maintenance of office equipment including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
  • Performs other administrative tasks, duties, and projects as assigned.

Front Desk Receptionist Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of administrative and clerical experience required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with fax, postage, and copying/scanning machines
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
  • Frequent repetitive motions with ability to bend and to reach with arms and hands such as in opening mail or light cleaning of lobby and conference room.
  • Ability to alternate sitting and walking the office space throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs at times.
