Position Overview:
As a Front Desk Specialist / Patient Care Coordinator at Paragon Sport Spine & Wellness, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care from the moment they walk through our doors. Your warm and energetic approach, combined with your organizational skills, will be instrumental in creating a positive and efficient experience for both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients with exceptional energy and a friendly demeanor.
- Efficiently schedule appointments across different disciplines and maintain accurate appointment calendars.
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance details.
- Handle phone calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate departments.
- Collect and process patient payments, including copayments and outstanding balances.
- Maintain patient records with precision and ensure confidentiality.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and office supplies management.
- Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure patient care coordination.
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare administration education or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a Front Desk or patient care coordination role is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for patient care.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask effectively.
- Proficiency in using office software, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, especially data entry.
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance and medical terminology is advantageous.
