SalaryHonoré Salon is a boutique hair salon dedicated to the craft of hair coloring and cutting. Located on the Kalamazoo Mall in a loft-like setting, Honoré offers top quality hair care products to compliment every personal need. Our team is seeking an experienced full-time Front Desk Coordinator with interest in growing into a management position.
The successful candidate should be outgoing, enthusiastic, and fashionable, with a natural focus on customer service. Honoré Salon is a friendly and creative environment where all guests are treated like long time friends. The Front Desk Coordinator should be prepared for a fast paced experience while providing guests with personalized attention. Candidates must be organized, punctual, and able to multitask with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in clients
- Inform stylists of client arrival
- Book and confirm appointments in person, over the phone, and via email
- Offer/prepare beverages and chat with clients in the waiting area
- Answer multi-line phone system
- Process register transactions and issue receipts
- Accurately describe services to clients
- Place orders for inventory
- Maintain tidy reception area
- Verify invoices against packing slips
- Product sales
Requirements
- Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: College degree in administration, business, or communication field
- +Required: Minimum 2 years experience in retail and/or service industry with heavy concentration on customer service and/or sales
- Preferred: Salon experience
- Exceptional organization and record keeping skills
- Ability to coordinate flow of client scheduling, providing service, and checking out
- Quick decision maker
- Supportive team player
- Able to remain calm in stressful circumstances
- Knowledge of the industry and trends impacting the salon
- Effectively able to communicate verbally and in writing
- Computer and social media skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
