As the Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the repair shop, managing day-to-day activities, and supporting the overall growth and success of the business.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of skilled automotive technicians and support staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, policies, and updates.
Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the implementation of customer service policies and procedures.
- Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and a commitment to problem resolution.
Operational Management:
- Manage daily operations of the repair shop, including workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for parts and supplies, ensuring efficient stock management.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all employees.
Quality Assurance:
- Uphold the highest standards of automotive repair quality by implementing and monitoring strict quality control measures.
- Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure it meets industry and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive repair, with a strong technical background.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using computerized systems for scheduling and inventory management.
- Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or related field (preferred).
